Sri lakshmi Narasimha Temple Telangana
Lakshmi Narasimha swamy temple is located at Yadagirigutta at a distance of one kilometre from the Yadagirigutta bus station. This temple is revered as one among the most powerful temples in India. And it is one among the few cave temples located at India. The presiding deity here is Lord Narasimha who is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Yadagirigutta temple is stationed atop a huge hillock which is 300 feet high. The temple is well built and carved out a cave. Devotees from all over the world come here to seek the blessings of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha.
History of the Temple
The legend has it that Sri Yadava Maharishi son of Sri Rushyashrunga Maharishi was a pious devotee of Lord Narasimha. He along with the blessings of Lord Anjaneyar, underwent severe penance for Lor Narasimha Swamy.
Seeing his peerless devotion Lord Narasimha appeared before him and gave him the incredible dharshan of five different forms of Narasimha, which as follows Sri Jwala Narasimha, Sri Yogananda Narasimha, Sri Ugra Narasimha, Sri Gandaberunda Narasimha and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha.This hoary temple was built many years back.
As per the inscriptions on the temple wall, this divine paradise was erected approximately in the 10th century. Historical facts state that many prominent rulers including Tribhuvana Malla of Western Chalukya kingdom, and Srikrishna Devaraya from Vijayanagara Dynasty had visited this kingdom.
Speciality of the Temple
This temple is built is Dravidian style, with colossal Kopurams, several grand mandapas, inner corridors, grabhagirha and lots more architectural marvels. The temple on the hill houses three deities Jwala Narasimha, Gandaberunda Narasimha (without an image) and Yoga Narasimha. The two rock formations on either side of the temple wall is revered as Jwala Narasimha and Yoga Narasimha.
The main deity Lakshmi Narasimha is adorned in silver a ornaments. Apart from this there is separate shrine to Aandaalammal.The devotees believe that Lord Narasimha residing in this temple is a miracle healer of any kind of diseases. The locals believe that worshipping in this shrine for 40 days will cure anyone of any longstanding illness.

The temple dharshan starts from Morning 4 AM and ends by 4 pm.
Dress Code to visit the temple
There is no specific dress code to this temple. Devotees must wear decent dresses of their interest. Wearing any turbans, or other head wears are prohibited.
Festivals in the temple
This temple commemorates lots of festivals in a grand manner. Some of the most important ones are the Annual Brahmotsavam, Jayanthi, Pavithrostavam, Adhyanotsavam, Sri Krishna Janmastami Margali Masam, Sri Rama Navami, Maha Shiva Rathri , Devi Navarathrulu and Dhanurmasams.
