The Medak Fort is one of the most challenging trekking spots in Hyderabad. Perched at a height of about 442 meters above sea level and sprawling across an area of about 100 acres, the Medak Fort offers a moderate trek for the trekking enthusiasts.

But one has to climb hundreds of steps (more than 500 steps) to reach the top of Medak Fort. The trek through the hilly stretches of land is a bit challenging. The 12th century old Medak Fort and its surroundings will take you to a ride along the times of Nizams. On the way, you can see a beautiful lake, a warehouse and a barrack of the Medak fort. You will be dumbfounded at the mind-blowing Hindu and Islamic designs and patterns that beautify the Medak Fort. The trek seems more worthwhile as you reach the top and watch the stunning view of the Medak town and the spectacular landscape around it.

• Edupalaya Vana Durga Bhavani Temple : It is a unique temple dedicated to Goddess Durga where the idol is situated in the middle of seven streams.
