The magnificent structure built by Raja Bahulochan approximately 3000 years ago is Bahu Fort, situated on the left bank of River Tawi and is the prominent tourist attraction of Jammu. It was once a deserted castle, but its fame soared, being one of the most visited heritage sites in North India.
The historical significance of the magnificent fort can be best explored by visiting the most intriguing architecture situated at the fifth km from the city center, compelling everyone to visit at least once during their trip to Jammu. Bahu Fort attracts everyone with its antique style of architecture which is indeed very interesting to explore. The 3000 years old structure built by Dogra Dynasty has been renovated in 19th century. The fort has a temple inside dedicated to Maa Kali and a beautiful terrace garden attracting everyone visiting here.
