The Bolgatty Palace which is situated on the Bolgatty Island in Kochi is an ancient palace built in the year 1744 by the Dutch. It is an architectural marvel which is beautifully designed in the European style of architecture. In olden days, the Bolgatty Palace served as the Governor's Palace for the commander of Dutch Malabar. The Bolgatty Palace in Kochi is said to be one of the ancient existing Dutch palaces that is situated outside Holland. It sprawls over 8 acres of land overlooking the famous Vembanad Lake and the surroundings of this palace are embellished with excellently manicured gardens and old trees.

And the most popular one among the three sections is the Marina Block that overlooks the International Marina of Kochi.
