Beypore Beach is a scenic beach which is situated 15 Km away from Kadavu, at the mouth of Chaliyar River in Kozhikode district. It houses one of the oldest ports in Kerala from where trading was done between the Middle East and Asia.

Beypore is well-known as the land of boat makers in Kozhikode as it builds wooden ships called dhows or urus in the local language. In olden days, these ships were bought by Arab merchants for trading and fishing. But now it is used as tourist ships.

The Chaliyar River meeting the sea creates a spectacle of beauty near Beypore Beach. Beypore beach is blessed with a pristine atmosphere and abundant natural scenery and a visit to this beach is pretty refreshing.
