After trekking for a Kilometer, you will reach a watchtower about 15 to 20 minutes, which is the first stop on your way to the Chembra Peak and you will get a preview of the peak from there. After trekking for another 2 Km which takes approximately 1.5 hours, you will be very surprised to see the true gift of nature - the Hridhayathadakam - the heart-shaped lake.

This lake never goes dry even during the harsh summer season and is one of the topmost tourist attractions here. The lake looks so enchanting that it will leave you in awe. The trail gets steeper as you go high and the last part of the trek is the most difficult one. On your trek, you will come across several birds and animal species of the forest area of this peak like elephants, deer, guar etc.
