The Champions Boat League (CBL) is organized by Kerala Tourism as part of a novel venture to protect and promote the tradition of the land. It is unarguably the country’s first-ever boat racing modeled on the Indian Premier League (IPL) format. It is conducted over 12 different venues across Kerala, with an aim to conserve and promote Kerala’s traditional festivals and culture, create an annual sporting event, and showcase its ever-charming backwaters to the world.
The Champions Boat League (CBL) 2022 will kick off on September 4th with the iconic Nehru Trophy Boat Race in Alappuzha Punnamada Lake and conclude on November 26th with the prestigious President’s Trophy Boat Race in Kollam Ashtamudi Lake.
